Samsung-i7500Perk up, Android fans – there’s a chance that, soon, you could have a choice in what Android-powered phone you carry around.  Earlier today, Samsung announced the i7500, a new smartphone running Google’s Android mobile OS.

We say “there’s a chance” because the only U.S. carrier the phone could work with, T-Mobile, has made no announcement on the phone at all.  At this point in time, we’re completely clueless as to whether or not they’ll add this phone to their lineup.  It’s a possibility that the i7500 could never make it stateside, which is a shame.  German wireless provider O2 has already announced that the i7500 will be available on its network in June.

What to check out the specification goodness?  The full press release is below.
