Two new Apple devices possibly coming to Verizon

By Shawn Farner | Tuesday, April 28, 2009

iphone-nano-rumor1We’re just slamming you with iPhone news lately, aren’t we?

Hot on the heels of our earlier post, it now seems that it may not be the iPhone coming to Verizon Wireless but, instead, two brand new, never before seen devices.  This makes a lot of sense – Apple has an exclusivity deal with AT&T for the iPhone, so a phone for any other carrier would have to be something new (unless Apple somehow got out of the AT&T deal).

The first gadget is being dubbed the “iPhone Lite” – basically, a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone.  The second is a “media pad” of sorts; a touchscreen tablet device that, frankly, has me ready to camp outside an Apple store even though I have no idea what it looks like or how much it costs.  Apple fans have been begging for a tablet for quite some time – will this satisfy?

We’ll have more news on the Apple/Verizon situation as it develops.
