Though many of today’s gadgets come with a rechargable battery, you don’t have to hunt very long to find one that doesn’t. Many cameras, video game controllers, remote controls and other devices (like my electronic dartboard) still require you to use plain Jane AA, AAA or 9-volt batteries. Sure, you can buy rechargable batteries in those sizes, but what happens when they die? Will you carry a charger around with you, too?
Thankfully, someone thought it would be a great idea to create batteries that can be charged via USB, and USBCELL was born.
USBCELL has batteries in many different sizes, not just the AA size shown here. Browsing through the web site, I’ve found AA, AAA, C/D and 9V rechargables. Even better, USBCELL says that cell phone batteries are coming soon. If you’re still using a lot of old school batteries, these might not be a bad purchase.
