blackberry-curve-85201All the BlackBerry Gemini wanted to do was enjoy a quiet weekend and read a good book while lounging around on its leopard-skin throw.  Unfortunately, the gizmorazzi are persistent creatures, and it wasn’t long before the cameras made an appearance.

Despite the Gemini’s attempt to escape by shouting “LEAVE ME ALONE!” and wildly throwing punches, a photographer from CrackBerry.com managed to snap a quick photo.  He then escaped while his gizmorazzi friends were beaten to a pulp by the Gemini’s bodyguards.

As you can see, this phone looks like typical BlackBerry fare, except in one area – the horrible, wretched trackball that I hated so much has been replaced by an optical trackpad.  This should provide a much better experience for users since they won’t be forced to constantly clean or replace the trackball.

We’ll have more on the BlackBerry Gemini when we get it.  Now, back to the weekend for all of us.  Even you, Gemini.

Honestly, I really like this device. I like the new trackpad and really, yes REALLY like the missing 3G. 3G to me, means more to pay for the device. I hardly use 3G due to the abundance of Wifi so, if it had 3G instead of Wifi, then that, that would be a dealbreaker for me.

I'm finding that, while WiFi is becoming more common, it's a chore to find a free spot. There's always the possibility of hopping onto someone's personal network but people are getting smarter and locking down the signal.

I just use 3G and don't even bother looking for WiFi anymore.
