Microsoft Aggressive Pricing for Windows 7

Microsoft Aggressive Pricing for Windows 7

Bugs Free Vs Half Price Microsoft Operating System,Which will you prefer?

Microsoft will be launching an Aggressive Discount Offer for their New Operating System — Windows 7 for U.S. consumer starting from June 26th to July 11th.

U.S. user who pre-order during the discount period will receive 50% off or more, Microsoft said. Windows 7 Home Premium will sell for $49 , while Windows 7 Professional will sell for $99.

The regular street price for the various full versions for the new OS will be as follows:

Windows 7 Home Premium

$199 for new user, $119 for upgrade from Vista or XP

Windows 7 Professional

$299 for new user, $199 for upgrade from Vista or XP

Windows 7 Ultimate

$319 for new user, $219 for upgrade from Vista or XP

Microsoft’s Brandon LeBlanc, said in a blog post, that this is MicroSoft’s way of saying thank you to their loyal Windows customers. Or does he actually mean thank you for having the patience to go through a “painful” transition with their previous Vista launch?

The fact is, this is simply a way to boost their sales, as in the recent quarter, the sales figures of Microsoft’s client unit, which houses Windows had faced a drastic drop of 16%.

In a addition to the Pre-Order Discount, Microsoft on also disclosed an Special upgrade program through which consumers can change to Windows 7 at a minimal or even zero cost when it is available on Oct if they purchase  a PC in Vista. This is another marketing attempt so that the PC market will not be affected as consumer at large may wait for the New Operating System integration before purchasing a new PC.

But won’t it be better if they can give us a Bug Free Guaranteed for the New Windows 7 OS? Or would we rather pay the discounted price to become MicroSoft “Quality Control” consumer? At least this time, is cheaper than Vista.
