Last week, I wrote a post about why I converted to the iPhone.  Reader Stuart Singer commented on the post and talked about how he was able to carry a spare battery for his Motorola E815, something that didn’t appear possible  with the iPhone.  Of course, it’s very possible to extend your iPhone’s battery life with an extra battery – it just isn’t the kind you’d expect.

Microsoft SideWinder X3 Mouse to ship in May 0

microsoft-sidewinder-x3Microsoft today announced a new addition to its SideWinder line of computer peripherals – the SideWinder X3.  According to Microsoft, the X3 is the first “ambidextrous” mouse in the SideWinder line, meaning both right-handed players and left-handed players can  find comfort using the device.

The X3 is expected to ship in May at a price of $39.95.  The mouse is supposed to be available for pre-order on Amazon, but we weren’t able to track it down.

Gloves that work with touchscreens and clickwheels. Amen. 0

If you’re in a cold climate like I am right now, you’re probably bundling up with a hat, gloves and a huge winter jacket.  Your gloves keep your hands warm, but they also hinder your ability to use your iPhone, iPod or other touchscreen device.  Thankfully, The North Face has a solution.

The gloves, which are known as “Etip” gloves, allow your finger to act once more as a conductor  for the touchscreen’s electrical current.  This current cannot travel through most pairs of gloves, rendering them useless with touchscreen devices.
