The Samsung a167: Flippin’ smart and coming to AT&T 0

“AT&T is now offering a new smartphone on its network – the Samsung a167.  The i167 is a clamshell-style flip-phone that runs Windows Mobile.  Despite being labeled a smartphone, its feature  set will be very basic, partly because AT&T is tossing it into the heap of phones available in its GoPhone line.

Features include:

  • Dual-band  GSM/GPRS connectivity (850/1900 MHz)
  • 128 x 160 internal CSTN display
  • Web browser
  • 2MB internal memory
  • VGA  camera

As you can see, this phone won’t be killing the iPhone anytime soon.  At $69.99 with no contract,  though, it’s pretty darn affordable.
