It seems like it was only yesterday that we reported on Verizon’s MiFi mobile hotspot and its May 17th launch. Oh wait – it was yesterday. The folks at Sprint must have liked the idea because they’ve announced a MiFi of their own. Same make, same model. The only real difference is the carrier and what that carrier has allowed – Verizon has crippled the GPS on their MiFi (Verizon crippling something? What’s new?) while Sprint has left the device intact.
Sprint’s MiFi will run you the same as Verizon’s: $99 for a two-year commitment (that price also includes a $50 rebate). There will be two plans offered for MiFi users – a $59.99/mo. plan and a $149.99 plan that is bundled with Sprint’s Simply Everything plan. The Sprint MiFi will drop during the first week of June.
